This kit uses the original stepper motor that came with the printer and is installed in around 1h.
Installation Tips
Take into consideration the original metal plate that holds the extruder needs to be modified in order to give room for the extruder, this is easily done with a hacksaw and a file.
For simple installation we now supply a custom “Extruder Bracket for Wanhao i3” as you can find in the “You May Need” section of this page.
This mounting bracket is not compatible with the Wanhao i3 v2.1, and it will make the housing to be lower than the nozzle.
If you have a v2.1 (or i3+), you will need to 3D print an adapter to lift up the cooling fan.
Additional Information
Maximum X-movement is restricted about 15 mm on the right side.
E-step needs to be adjusted to 140 step/mm (with the LCD panel)
